WATCH: Ford makes announcement as omicron cases rise

Premier Doug Ford has announced that Ontario is returning to the revised second stage of the Roadmap to reopen.

On January 5, the province returns to a second modified stage of the Roadmap for the reopening. The measures will be in effect for at least 21 days (January 26).

This means that schools will not revert to in-person learning on Wednesday January 5th. There will be virtual learning until at least January 17.

All elective and elective surgeries and procedures are also suspended.
