This popular Toronto brunch spot is offering 50% off frontline RN healthcare workers

If you or someone you know works on the front lines of the healthcare system, Old School, a popular brunch spot in Toronto, is currently offering 50% off meals.

Narcity spoke to Old School owner Andrew, who shared some details about why they decided to offer a 50% discount to frontline healthcare workers.

As a pharmacist by trade, he has witnessed the strain on frontline workers right now β€” himself included β€” as his three pharmacies administer vaccines and offer rapid tests to Torontonians.

“We’ve been trying to support our healthcare workers since the start of the pandemic,” he said, adding that Old School turned into a food packaging facility at the height of the pandemic for the operation. Ramzieh, and had donated and sent food to the elderly and vulnerable Torontonians as well.

β€œWe also offered 50% off frontline healthcare workers last winter and delivered many surprise lunches to local fire stations, police stations, hospitals and pharmacies throughout 2021.”

Old School announced that it will be offering this promotional offer again on January 13 on its Instagram page.

“We have an exciting announcement!! While we are in lockdown, we would like to offer all frontline healthcare workers a 50% discount as a THANK YOU!” Old School’s IG post reads.

Based on the Instagram post about the promotion, all healthcare workers need to do is flash their ID or proof of where they work to get the discount.

How long will this agreement last? According to the owner, it will operate as long as Ontario is under lockdown measures.

Since January 5, dining inside restaurants has been closed to the public and those restrictions are currently set to expire on January 26.
