Get ready for 10 days of music and family-friendly fun in the heart of St Kilda this winter.
After two winters spent mostly inside, it’s time to try something different this year. Rug up in your warmest clothes and head to St Kilda for the inaugural Southside Live on the St Kilda foreshore. Taking place over 10 days between Friday June 24 and Sunday July 3, the festival has a packed program of live music, food, markets and more. And the best part is, it’s completely free.
Southside Live’s all-ages program features music from Grammy nominees Hiatus Kaiyote, solo artist Adalita (formerly of Magic Dirt), rapper and Bad Apples label head Briggs, Australia’s Got Talent alum Mitch Tambo, blues rock mainstays The Black Sorrows, beloved soul outfit Emma Donovan and the Putbacks, and much more.
In addition to over 20 musical acts on the line-up, you’ll want to bring the kids along for a specially curated children’s program during the school holidays which features the ARIA-winning children’s group Teeny Tiny Stevies, plus a special appearance from Bluey .
The stage will be set up on the South Beach Lawn, overlooking the bay, with plenty of hot food, mulled wine, market stalls and light displays for a winter waterfront experience worth rugging up for.
Southside Live is presented by the Victorian Government’s On the Road Again initiative. For the full line-up and more information about the programme, visit southsidelive.com.au
