Someone In Toronto Ate His Neighbor’s Delivery Slip And Wrote A Note Explaining Why

If you’re like me, you’ve probably used online food delivery apps often due to restrictions.

Unfortunately for someone in Toronto, their neighbor ate their restaurant delivery order and left a note explaining why.

A note was left in the laundry room of an apartment building, according to Kitty Winter, who posted a photo of the note online.

The note says “…there was a bag of McDonald’s in our hallway, just sitting outside the building door. I saw it, waited 10 minutes to see if anyone wanted to pick it up. “

A hungry but remorseful neighbor left a note explaining why he ate the McDonald’s meal.

The note further explains how they were trying to determine who the order belonged to but had no identifying information on the bag. “He also didn’t specify which delivery service brought it.”

The hungry neighbor then took the food back to his apartment as he didn’t want to leave the order outside as it might attract pests.

After trying unsuccessfully to determine who ordered the food with the transaction number, the neighbor ate the meal. “I hate to throw food away, so I ate it! It was a quarter pound without the cheese, small fries and a large Coke.” says the note.

Although the neighbor ended up eating the meal, they felt a bit remorseful, explaining that they would be happy to repay the person whose meal they ate. The neighbor apologized for eating his burger because he couldn’t find who ordered it.

“A thief with a conscience,” one person commented.

“Omg the hamburglar lol. That’s wonderful,” another person joked.

While most of the comments were jokes about the situation, some weren’t too impressed with the food thief.

“I stole your food and can’t mind my own business, so I left a passive-aggressive note instead of leaving it where the person ordering it might find it,” he said. commented a commentator.

There’s no indication if the neighbor has been found or not, but hopefully they can get their hands on a quarter pound without cheese, small fries and a large Coke soon.
