Richmond, flat as a pancake, is not known to be a winter sports destination.
But some parents in Steveston decided Thursday afternoon to create their own four-foot-high “sledge hill” for the kids.
And the young people took advantage of Wednesday night’s heavy snowfall and the delay in going back to school to test the village’s response to Grouse Mountain.
