Peaky Blinders producers planning themed pubs and restaurants after success of Coyote Ugly

Peaky Blinders producers are planning to launch a chain of themed pubs, bars and barber shops.

The firm behind the BBC One show, which centers on the Shelby family, have made plans to cash in on its success.

Reports suggest they are mulling over the development of pubs, bars and restaurants, as well as gentlemen’s barber shops.

Caryn Mandabach Productions wants to launch a range of grooming products, too, as well as fragrances and maybe even clothing.

The Sun newspaper reports a source as saying: “Peaky Blinders is huge these days. It’s a global smash.

“So it’s no surprise the makers want to try and cash in on that when they can.”

Peaky Blinders will return for its final TV series later this year, with Steven Knight, its creator, hinting at a February air date.

Knight has confirmed it will be the final TV show but he hopes the universe continues in another guise, most likely a film.

A source added: “There are a couple of unofficial pubs out there already which the makers want to bring to heel.

“The Coyote Ugly film (about a gang of bar workers, released in 2000) spawned bars all over the world and Caryn knows Peaky Blinders could have that same appeal.”
