A 21-year-old Ottawa man was held for a bail hearing after the Ontario Provincial Police alleged that a kukri-type machete and crack, cocaine, oxycodone and suspected psilocybin had been seized in Perth on Thursday.

Police, who put the market value of the drugs at more than $5,000, also seized more than $950 in cash, according to a statement from the Lanark County OPP on Friday.

The Ottawa man is charged with possession of cocaine and crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of oxycodone and psilocybin, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000.

Members of the detachment assisted the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Street Crime Unit and Regional Emergency Response Team in executing the search warrant at an unspecified location.
