Meghan King was seeking advice shortly before confirming her split from President Biden’s nephew Cuffe Biden Owens after two months of marriage.

On December 3, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum shared a post on Instagram asking her million followers for “great marriage advice.”

“We sent the children to grandmother and grandfather, we had a hotel 5 km from our house, and I slipped into the pajamas that I was waiting to wear for a special occasion,” said commented the 37-year-old. .

King took to Instagram Stories on Monday and revealed the union is over.

“I have been asked by many media and individuals to comment on the state of my marriage,” King began.

“I am overwhelmed,” she wrote. “This situation is deeply devastating. It is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows – and I am shocked and saddened by the way things have turned out. we privately deal with our pain and start letting go of shattered dreams. “

“Right now, I ask for your grace and kindness as I navigate this maze of grief with my family,” King concluded.

A source told Page Six on Friday that King had told friends the couple broke up.

In September, the former couple took to Instagram to confirm their relationship and, after a flashing engagement, tied the knot a month later on October 11 in Pennsylvania.

The White House described the event as a “small family wedding at the home of Valerie and Jack Owens.” President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were both in attendance.

King’s ex-husband, former league slugger Jim Edmonds, with whom she shares three children, told the Daily Mail he “thought it was a joke” when King and Biden tied the knot.

Edmonds filed for divorce in October 2019 after a sexting scandal and alleged affair with their children’s nanny which he denied. The divorce was granted in May of this year.

“They had been dating for about four weeks! Edmonds told the Daily Mail in October.

However, King said she has no doubts that Owens, 42, is right for her.

“We just knew,” King wrote alongside an Instagram photo of the couple displaying broad smiles after they exchanged their nuptials at the time. “This is Mr. and Mrs. Owens,” she added.

Owens is the son of Biden’s younger sister and political advisor, Valerie Biden Owens.

King said in an interview with Brides magazine that she and Owens “logged into a dating app, texted for a day or two, then spent five straight hours on the phone the first time we got together. speak”.
