Man arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with deadly attack on Rhamero West at Old Trafford

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the fatal assault of a teenager at Old Trafford.

Police were called to Norton Street around 6 p.m. Thursday, September 9 last year with a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, they discovered that the 16-year-old boy, Rhamero West, had been stabbed multiple times in an attack by two strangers.

Rhamero was taken to hospital but died shortly after.

Ryan Cashin, 19, of Nancy Street, Manchester, Xavier Winter, 18, homeless, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named on legal grounds, were subsequently charged with the murder of Rhamero.

This afternoon, police said a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
