Power out in Winfield

BC Hydro now estimates a power outage in Winfield could be restored by 11:30 am
ORIGINAL: 6:50 a.m.
Many residents of Lake Country awoke to have no power Friday morning.
Power has been out to a wide area of Winfield and Okanagan Center since about 1:30 am
BC Hydro’s website says the outage affects 1,517 customers in an area north of Chase Road, around Highway 97 and east of Camp Road.
The outage was caused by a fire, the details of which are not known at this time.
Hydro says crews are working on the problem, and power is not estimated to be restored until 3 pm
