Driver hospitalized after crashing into Burnaby gymnasium window

First, a public health ordinance shut down their business – along with all other gym and fitness clubs in British Columbia.

Now this.

A Burnaby gymnasium fell victim again after its window was smashed Monday night.

At around 7 p.m., Burnaby emergency crews responded to an accident on Hastings Street and Sperling Avenue.

When the teams arrived they found two vehicles involved, one of the vehicles having crashed into Snap Fitness Gym.

One person was transported to hospital by paramedics.

The gymnasium was recently closed due to a public health order related to the COVID-19 pandemic, so no one was inside when the accident happened.

The accident is being investigated to determine how two vehicles ended up on the sidewalk.
