(WJW) – Former “Bachelorette” candidate Clint Arlis died this week at the age of 34.
He appeared on season 11 of the show with bachelor Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Arlis’ sister, Taylor Lulek, says Clint died on Tuesday.
“It is with great sadness that I announce that my family lost my best friend and older brother Clint on the morning of January 11. Please respect our family’s privacy as we try to come to terms with this great loss” , she wrote on Facebook.
She did not share her cause of death.
Arlis High School wrestling coach remembered him on Twitter.
“It is with heavy hearts and a sense of profound loss that we announce the passing of one of Batavia Wrestling Program’s all-time greats, 2005 graduate Clint Arlis…Clint was the beloved son of Coach Tom Arlis and his wife, Jamie, protective and loving older brother to his sister, Taylor, and childhood idol and best friend of his little brother, Coach Logan Arlis,” Scott Bayer wrote.
Bayer said Clint was “extraordinarily dedicated to his family.”
“His legacy as a fierce competitor, tireless worker, benevolent influence for the young wrestlers of Batavia, a devoted friend and a loving son and brother will resonate far beyond his days in our presence,” Bayer said.
Kaitlyn Bristowe shared a message on her Instagram story after hearing the news.
“I don’t know what happened, how it happened. All I’m saying is getting to know him on the show, even though things haven’t ended on the best terms for us from his time on the show until today, I don’t I’ve heard amazing things about this person. From his peers, from his students, from his coaches, from his teachers, from his family friends, Clint was highly respected in his world, and it is an absolute tragedy what happened,” he said. she declared. “It’s a huge loss and I’m honestly just beside myself with this news,” Bristowe continued.
Funeral plans have not been announced.
