Andrew Giuliani hit in the face with a flowerpot in New York

The Big Apple is really going to explode.

GOP gubernatorial candidate Andrew Giuliani was hit in the face with a flowerpot as he tried to break up a fight near Penn Station.

The 35-year-old son of former mayor Rudy Giuliani told the Post that he witnessed a man and a woman having a violent confrontation last Saturday on 28th Street while on their way to a meeting with Gavin Wax, President of the New York Young Republicans.

“I put myself between them,” Giuliani said. “He had a flowerpot. I think it was for her but it hit me on the left side of the face. Luckily it was a plastic pot and not a clay pot. The ground especially struck me. But I didn’t expect that. It was a bit of a shock. »

The contestant said he heard the woman scream “you’re not leaving me any money, bitch”, shortly before the man shot her. Giuliani said the man also threatened to “beat the shit out of him” as he started calling 911.

Cops arrived on the scene about 15 minutes later and a police report was filed.

Giuliani saw a man and a woman face off on 28th Street and was struck down after coming between them.

“There are no arrests at this time,” an NYPD spokesperson said. Giuliani said he was asked to look at a series of police photos of potential suspects. He fingered one of them but told the cops he couldn’t be 100% sure.

Locals say the rise in crime has been noticeable over the past five years. The incident was not far from where a violent pervert cut a man who confronted him about masturbating in front of his wife days earlier.

“It’s deteriorated,” said Thomas Weisse, owner of Caribbean Cuts Flowers & Foliage. “You have to be much more careful than you did before coming to work and leaving work. The whole city is like that.

Weisse says he saw junkies shooting heroin just down the block. In October, the NYPD issued orders allowing drug addicts to inject freely on city streets.

Mayor Adams promised to curb violent crime and restore law and order to city streets. But critics say his efforts are likely to be frustrated by new Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has said he will not seek jail time for a range of crimes.

“You don’t have to be a wizard to realize that if you don’t prosecute the crime and you don’t have bail, the criminals are going to be active,” Weisse said.

Giuliani believes the suspect will not be punished due to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's policy.
Giuliani believes the suspect will not be punished thanks to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s policy.

Giuliani said he had ‘no confidence’ the culprit would face punishment with Bragg at the helm and said he would use his constitutional authority to impeach Bragg on day one if elected governor in 2022.

“Any DA who violates his oath of office…I would relieve him of his duties,” Giuliani said.
