Academic recipient of the week: Natalie Miller

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) — Our academic winner of the week has big dreams. She plans to pursue a career in the medical field.

“I’m considering becoming a pediatrician or becoming a nurse, I haven’t really decided, maybe an anesthetist or a dermatologist. Just something in the medical field related to nursing,” Miller said.

She says that to pursue those dreams, she now needs to set her mindset to take her to college and beyond.

“Just my passion for things like I really want to be in medical fields. And I want to get into a really nice medical school, so working hard through high school is really important to me,” Miller said.

Natalie added that without her friends, family and teachers, she wouldn’t be able to create the great high school memories she did.

“My favorite memory of the senior year is probably going to the United States for the marching band finals. It was the first meeting in 21 years and it was really awesome to be a part of it,” Miller said.

Natalie currently holds a 4,335 GPA and plans to continue her education at Ohio State University and Ohio University.
