A 30-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle on the Manchester-bound carriageway of the M602 motorway near the Regent Road roundabout.
Emergency services received reports of a pedestrian struck shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28. The man sadly died of his injuries shortly after in hospital.
Greater Manchester Police said his family had been informed and their thoughts were with them during this difficult time.
The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting the police in the investigation. No arrests were made and the road has since been reopened.
